In preparation for a new 2020 STEAM subject, Monivae College presents projects which involve critical and creative thinking skills, digital technologies, and team work.

Students tackle real-world problems and come up with innovative solutions, with projects ranging from home automation, through arts and even into manufacturing prosthetics. Using new technologies such as 3D printers and single board computers, students design, build, and code exciting prototypes and products.

At the Education Hub, students will be demonstrating a few of these projects including Raspberry Pi controlled time-lapse photography, an automated hydroponic system using 3D printed planters, and the ongoing build of open-source 3D printed prosthetics made possible by the charity enablingthefuture.org.
